It’s apple pickin’ time!
Ahhhh . . . it’s nearly Fall and time to plan a trip to an apple orchard. Besides the many variety of apples, orchards often have other specialties to whet your appetite – such as apple cider, apple butter, and apple jelly.
And don’t forget the Apple Festivals throughout the region.
Head to Historic Bethabara Park in Winston-Salem on September 19th, for an exciting event which will feature bluegrassmusic, food, crafts, and a living history encampment by the NC 6th Regiment.
The Brushy Mountain Apple Festival will be held on October 3rd, in downtown North Wilkesboro, NC, with an expected attendance of around 160,000 people. Crafters, musicians and dancers will round out the festivities. A pre-festival Apple Jam will be held on Friday, October 2nd.
